The Verdugo Hills Council Annual Hometown Heroes Dinner is an opportunity to honor members of our community who contribute to creating a better world for our members.  This year, we honor Mickey DePalo, Robin Goldsworthy, Michele Gonzalez, and David Worley.  Our keynote speaker is Major General (Ret.) Mark McCarley.

When: Thursday, December 7, 2017

Where: La Cañada Country Club, 5500 Godbey Dr., La Cañada, CA 91011

Cost: $60 per person

There are also Sponsorship available for those who want to support the event.

$1,000 – Table for 8, one half-page ad in program

$600 – 6 tickets, one quarter-page ad in program

$300 – 4 tickets, one quarter-page ad in program

$100 – Business-card sized ad in program

Pack 219 has won the Cub Scout Recruitment Contest, so the council will provide a pizza and ice cream party at their next pack meeting.

Come to the December Roundtable to learn the Youth Protection Update, for our Boy Scout Leaders: Scoutmaster Conferences and Boards of Review, and something wonderful for our Cub Scout Leaders.  Join us on December 14th, 2017 at 7:30 PM at the Council Roundtable December 14th, 2017 - Youth Protection Update
NYLT is the council-level leadership training for youth leaders. It's a challenging outdoor experience that teaches leadership skills for the 21st century. Rather than Scoutcraft skills, participants practice team development with the expectation that National Youth Leadership Training 2018
The High Adventure Team's goal is to give adult Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing Leaders knowledge and training that will help them plan and lead their units on fun, safe, and rewarding outings. These HAT Awareness courses cover subjects that are not HAT: Outing Awareness January 2018
