Orienteering Merit Badge Seminar

Who should take: Boy Scouts, Venturers and Scout Leaders

Scheduled class: October 23-25, 2009

Location: Camp Three Falls, Frazier Park Recreation area of Los Padres National Forest

Prerequisites: Scout and Venturers must have either achieved First Class or completed the equivalent map and compass requirements as verified by their adult leader. Youth must attend with a Troop leader/adult. (Can come with another troop) 

Personal Equipment: Silva-type compass, Orienteering Merit Badge pamphlet, Merit Badge Blue Card, pen or pencil and paper, sleeping gear.

Course Description: Have fun learning and putting in practice the use of map and compass, while earning the Orienteering Merit Badge. Meals are provided so Participants can concentrate on the orienteering program. HAT trained adults earn the Orienteering Seminar Patch-Segment.
