The Verdugo Hills Council would like to extend a big "Thank you!" to the New York Film Academy for a great Merit Badge Day on March 18th.  Our Scouts not only had great classes, but the New York Film Academy gifted them all with camping beanies with the New York Film Academy Merit Badge Day, 2017

The Camp Verdugo Oaks and Camp Silver Fir committees have released new forms for reserving the camps.  The new forms and new prices have been included on each camp's page.  From today forward, you must use the new forms to reserve the camps.  Below you New Reservation Forms for Camp Verdugo Oaks and Camp Silver Fir
Knott's Berry Farm and Knott's Soak City Waterpark are offering some reduced rates for groups this summer that are specifically designed for youth groups like Scout units.  The rate is $32 per person at Knott's Berry Farm and $23 per person at Soak City. Extreme Merit Badge Mania Weekend is April 7 – 9, 2017 at Camp Verdugo Oaks. The weekend will include a number of Eagle required Merit Badges (Swimming, Camping, Hiking, First Aid) as well as Archery, Astronomy, Indian Lore, Wilderness Survival, Woodworking 2017 Extreme Merit Badge Mania

The High Adventure Team's goal is to give adult Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing Leaders knowledge and training that will help them plan and lead their units on fun, safe, and rewarding outings. These HAT Awareness courses cover subjects that are not VHC High Adventure Training: Desert Awareness
