Welcome to the new VHCBSA.ORG!
As you can see, we have a brand new web site for the Verdugo Hills Council. There are now places for our Districts to post information and many, many more upgrades.
As with any change, there are going to be problems. Please write to the web team and let them know if you find any broken links, or information errors. Constructive feedback about site navigation, items that need to be on the site, etc. would also be helpful.
Are you interested in getting news and information tailored for you from the Verdugo Hills Council? Then you’ve come to the right place! Here you can sign up for email information appropriate for you! When you click on the links below, it will generate an email. Send the email, and our server will automatically respond back to you and ask if you wish your email to be added to the list you requested. Don’t write a story in your email – the server won’t read it!
Want to get off of a list? The instructions are on the bottom of each email! You manage the information you receive.
The new Tour and Activity Plan will officially replace the old Tour Plan beginning May 10, 2012. All of your previously approved Tour Plans will cross over and be archived in the new system, but any outstanding ones will not. If you have submitted a Tour Plan and it is yet to be acted upon, please contact your council ASAP and check on the status. If no action is taken by May 10, you will need to resubmit the trip via the new Tour and Activity Plan.
The informative training video below has been developed on how to use the new Tour and Activity Plan application. Please contact the VHC Service Center with any questions or concerns.
Have an old auto, boat or RV that you no longer need? Consider donating it to help support the operations of the Verdugo Hills Council. Donating that old vehicle will benefit the council, secure you the maximum legal tax deduction and potentially earn you a partial cash payment.
Click here to start you on your way to receive the maximum legal tax deduction for your vehicle — and help the council at the same time!
We have collection of common forms available on line. You will need Adobe Acrobat® Reader to view or print these files. A free copy of Acrobat® Reader is available by clicking on the icon below.
Adult leaders should always strive to conduct Scouting activities in a safe and prudent manner. Policies and guidelines have been established by the BSA because of the need to protect members from known hazards that have been identified through nearly 90 years of experience. Limitations on certain activities should not be viewed as stumbling blocks; rather, policies and guidelines are best described as stepping stones toward safe and enjoyable adventures.
The Verdugo Hills Council will endeavor to keep these policies up to date as required. If you have a question or wish to add another policy, contact the
Council Service Center.
