Council News

A Scout is Reverent, and for many Scouts, that means earning their Religious Emblems from their church.  The Scouts below will be honored on May 21st at the Catholic Scouting Committee's 91st Annual Presentation Mass: Religious Emblems for working to Several Verdugo Hills Council Scouts to Be Honored May 21st
The Verdugo Hills Council is looking for volunteers at the Council Service Center.  The Scout Shop is looking for volunteers to help with stocking, cleaning, and customer service.  If you are interested in volunteering for a few hours a week in the Scout Volunteer Opportunities with the Verdugo Hills Council

A tremendous thank-you to everyone who participated in our Extreme Merit Badge Mania weekend up at Camp Verdugo Oaks! We had 77 Scouts taking classes in 10 different Merit Badges, twelve Merit Badge Counselors who volunteered their time and experience, Thanks and Pictures from Extreme Merit Badge Mania 2017

The Friends of Scouting Breakfast raises funds to support the Scouting program in Glendale, Burbank, Eagle Rock, La Crescenta, Montrose, Sunland, and Tujunga. For more information on how you or your company can support this event and Scouting in the community Community Friends of Scouting Breakfast

Join Troop 106 as they work on earning merit badges at their annual Sash Builder Activity.  You can earn merit badges including Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the Community, American Heritage, Medicine, and Woodwork. For lunch, they will be Troop 106 Sash Builder Activity
Enjoy great views of the San Gabriel Mountains and Valley as you hike the Wildlife Corridor through Puente Hills.  This is an advancement opportunity for all scouting levels, and hikes are offered at various lengths and difficulties.  In conjunction with Greater Los Angeles Area Council Troop 546 Skyline Trail Hike
The High Adventure Team's goal is to give adult Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing Leaders knowledge and training that will help them plan and lead their units on fun, safe, and rewarding outings. These HAT Awareness courses cover subjects that are not VHC High Adventure Training: Desert Awareness
The annual District Dinner is the time we come together to recognize the efforts of our amazing volunteers! Come join us for an evening of fun, fellowship and good food. The Los Angeles Railroad Heritage Foundation (LARHF) is offering Boy Scouts a chance to earn their Railroading Merit Badge in one day with the LARHF's professional staff with many years of teaching experience.  Scouts will learn about railroad safety, 2017 LARHF Railroading Merit Badge Day
